Do you practice on your days off? I'm always writing in my head

Who were your earliest influences/your inspirations? My cousin Donald Sellers, Jimi Hendrix, Funkadelic, Jaco Pastourius, The Isley Brothers, Gregg Ginn (Black Flag)

What was the first record you ever bought/owned? My cousin Donal's copy of "Hendrix: Band of Gypsies"

What was the first concert you attended and how old were you? Weather Report. I was 9.

What is the "strangest" record in your collection? Maybe my "Sound Effects" collection

Outside of music do you have any hobbies? Reading , Writing, running, movies

Desert Island Discs: If you were on a deserted island, and you can only have 5 LP's/CD's/Tapes with you, what would they be and why?
1- Hendrix-"Electric Ladyland"

If you could work with anyone in the industry, who would it be and why? Ornette Coleman, Sonic Youth, Joni Mitchell, Iggy Pop, Ronald Isley, Willie Nelson, Britney Spears

If you could be any musical figure for one day, who would it be and why?
a. Prince- because as amazing and unprecedented as his past was, he may even have it better right now.
b. Paul McCartney-because no-one has seen what that guy has seen, or written as many unbelivable tunes about it.

(I know how you hooked up with Jer[ry Cantrell] but...) What were you doing prior to getting that call from him? Dropping the BOMB on Los Angeles with COMES WITH THE FALL. Before that, rocking the ATL.

Musically is there anything that you would love to do, try or attempt?
a. Write a childrens musical as good as "The nightmare before Christmas" b. Do an instrumental long-form, free inprovisational album with Woody Williams and Mathew Cowley on drums, Henry Schroy on bass, Charles Gayle on tenor and soprano sax, and Thurston Moore and myself on guitars. We'll just roll tape and play. Whatever happens. happens. c. Do an album of original compositions and standards with the same personnel as above, only add Norah Jones on piano and vocals. d. Compose an original score for a film as brilliantly haunting as Georgio Moroder's "Music for Midnight Express".

What has this experience been like for you? Uniquely amazing and unforgetable.

Any funny road stories? Too many.

Do you have any future plans, dreams or ambitions? Piece of mind. A family. And more money.

What is the best part of your job? Playing in my favorite band (CWTF), connecting with friends and fans all over the world, building something special from the ground up.

What is the worse part of your job? Living in a world where mediocrity is too often rewarded.

Do you come from a musically inclined family? No.

What age did you start playing drums? Started learning at 12, but beat on Crisco cans and Pringle's cans as far back as 8.

Were you formally trained? Yes. Marching band, Jazz Band, and Wind Ensemble throughout High School.

Do you know how to read or write music? Yes, both.

What type of equipment do you use?
Pearl Masters Custom drums, Sabian cymbals, Pro Mark sticks, Evans drum heads.

Do you practice on your days off? Mentally I do. Always figuring out different rhythms.

Who were your earliest influences/your inspirations? Peter Criss and the marching band at High School football games.

What was the first record you ever bought/owned? KISS "Double Platinum"

What was the first concert you attended and how old were you? 13, Z.Z. Top Eliminator Tour.

What is the "strangest" record in your collection? Boys II Men "Christmas Interpretations" (guilty pleasure) Venom "Eine Klein Nachtmusik" - (Strange because I didn't buy it sooner)

Outside of music do you have any hobbies? Collecting monster movies.

Desert Island Discs: If you were on a deserted island, and you can only have 5 LP's/CD's/Tapes with you, what would they be and why?
1- KISS "Alive" - "Got to Choose" live. "C'mon and love me" No explanation necessary.
2- Black Sabbath "Vol 4" - the string in the third verse of "Snowblind".
3- Alice in Chains "Dirt" - The darkest and the heaviest thing in all of the '90's.
4- Fleetwood Mac "Rumors" - Stevie Nicks has the sexiest voice in the world.
5- The Eagles "Hotel California" - Title track is hauntingly beautiful. I feel like I'm in the car with Don Henley.

If you could work with anyone in the industry, who would it be and why? Eddie Kramer. I love the live and studio work he did with KISS and Ace Frehley's solo album.

If you could be any musical figure for one day, who would it be and why? Tony Iommi - he's the God of everything that rocks!!!

(I know how you hooked up with Jer[ry Cantrell] but...) What were you doing prior to getting that call from him? Sleeping. He called and wanted to play frisbee golf.

Musically is there anything that you would love to do, try or attempt? I want to expand my knowledge of Jazz drumming.

What has this experience been like for you? Very cool experience. I enjoy letting people know that are still real rock bands in the world.

Any funny road stories? Just great fishing trips where J[erry].C[antrell]. puts his foot through the styrofoam cooler. Adam's bag got run over by the bus.

Do you have any future plans, dreams or ambitions? If I'm still doing this when I'm 50. I'll be happy.

What is the best part of your job? I've got the best seat in the house, at the best party in town.

What is the worse part of your job? Sitting around all day listening to tour managements sarcasm.

If you could work with anyone in the industry, who would it be and why? Will Pharrell (Neptunes, N.E.R.D.) - I love what he did with Kellis and ever since then I've been a big fan. Also he wrote a killer tune for No Doubt, "Hella Good".

If you could be any musical figure for one day, who would it be and why? Kut Cobain - just to see what it was like. I would only wanna do it for a day.

(I know how you hooked up with Jer[ry Cantrell] but...) What were you doing prior to getting that call from him? Playing with Comes With The Fall (and I still am)

Musically is there anything that you would love to do, try or attempt? A number one record with 4 number one singles.

What has this experience been like for you? It's help me pay some bills.

Any funny road stories? Yeah, my feckin' luggage got run over by the tour bus, and everybody thought it was feckin' funny (except me). And one time a whole vanilla candle fell on me, so I smelled like vanilla for a couple of days.

Do you have any future plans, dreams or ambitions? I wanna get a dog.

What is the best part of your job? It keeps me out of therapy.

What is the worse part of your job? Living out of a suitcase.
